What You Need In A Website Design In 2018

Website Design Checklist-Top 5 Features Of A Good Website

Easy Ways to contact you that are prominently displayed.

Whether you want your target audience to call you or fill out a form, make it stand out.  Easy ways to contact you are what you need in a website design because people want to do business with you.  Making it difficult or a mystery will send them to your competitor.

Product descriptions that are useful.

A stock photo of your products will due unless you’re offering something proprietary.   Product descriptions are what you need in a website design because they keep your visitor on the page longer.   To get the best results

  • Use useful product descriptions on your web pages.
  • List the benefits of it and ingredients that matter.

Your target audience wants to do business with a company they trust, and this is a great way to show transparency and build trust.

Service descriptions that are clear, concise and jargon-free.

When you’re writing your service descriptions remove the technical words and replace them with phrases your target audience will understand.  Service descriptions are what you need in a website design because you want to set customer expectations and build trust by being straight-forward.

About page or section

Your customers will read this page.  I’ve noticed a trend of entrepreneurs choosing to leave them out of their website design.  The about page is what you need in a website design because this page helps your brand connect with your customer.  Also, the lack of an about page gives off the appearance of being spammy.

Testimonials

People want to feel comfortable doing business with your company.  The easiest way to make that a reality is to give them testimonials to read.  It doesn’t matter if you only have one at this moment, post it.

These are 5 of the primary items you should have on your website to meet your business goals.  Revisit your website design to ensure you have these items in your current design.  If you need some help designing or redesigning your website, I’ve put together a guide that can help you get on the right track.  Get your copy today.
