Domain Name Idea…
How To Choose The Best Domain Name For Your Business.
3 Factors every business should consider when they choose a domain name.
Length
When you’re picking a domain that you’re going to invite your customers to visit, you don’t want it to be a sentence. You want to be mindful of how long your domain is to reduce the likelihood of typos. In addition, using a shorter length on you domain will make it easier for your target audience to remember.
Relevance
Your domain name is also going to show up in the search engines based on many factors. Your target audience is going to choose the brand they know, like, and trust the most out of the list. You want to make sure the domain name idea is relevant to the product/service that’s being promoted on your website. Even if they’ve never heard of your business, the right name could mean the difference between a pass or click.
Easy to spell
When you’re putting together a website, you want to make the domain easy to spell to avoid your customer being unaware of your product or service and running to a competitor that is executing this strategy in their business.
Unique
When choosing your domain name, make sure it’ something that hasn’t already been branded online by another company. Take a moment to google the potential domain name idea as both a .com and without the extension (i.e. your website instead of yourwebsite.com). The reason for this is to avoid having to rebrand an existing phrase that has an active and strong following. Meaning, if someone abandoned a URL then use it. However, if a social media influencer is actively using it, don’t waste your time or money, especially when you’re just getting started.
