How  To Design A Website Layout

 

When building your website, the look of it should depend on your target audience’s expectations.  I wouldn’t design the same website layout Accufigures Health & Wellness Coach Website Buildfor a contractor and a doctor, even though they are both service providers.  Your website has a job to do, and that includes getting and keeping the interest of your target audience.

 

However, you’re not going to be able to do that if you design a website layout that is off-putting or irrelevant to what your target audience is looking for.  I’ve put together a list to help you design a website layout that will get results.

 

Website Layout Plan

What is the goal of your website?

What do you want each customer to do when they visit your website?

Are you selling a product or service?

Are you a non-profit?

What would you like your target audience to gain when they visit your website?

 

Use The Layout Plan To Design A Website Layout

Use the answers to the questions above to help you create a strategy by completing the steps below:

  • Search for a theme that satisfies the goal of your website, and you’re comfortable with.  An example would be an e-commerce theme for products or an event theme for clubs, etc.
  • Decide which pages are needed on your website to attract your target audience.  If you’re not sure, take a moment to think about everything the customer needs to do to meet your website goals.  Then make sure each goal has a web page.
  • Add the page(s) to your website.
  • Design a user-friendly web page(s) that converts.
